Maybe it’s just me but, I swear everytime I’m at work and say I don’t feel great (for example after our fatty easter dinner) someone at work always says to me, maybe your stomach hurts because you are pregnant – you should go test. Another example – I mention that I’m exhausted (mind you I work 13 hours on my feet) I get – maybe your pregnant. Maybe I’m just frustrated with the entire TTC process, but if I were pregnant – I think I’d be the very first to know! ~ end rant 🙂

Do your coworkers know you are TTC?
Maybe they are thinking they are being supportive (when they are just being annoying).

Try to look at it this way – they are asking only because they care about you, so try and see it in a positive light rather than allowing it to annoy you.

True – they do know, I think I get annoyed because one of my co-workers argues with me when I state that no I’m not pregnant, my stomach is upset and she insists I just don’t know any better. I try to stay positive mostly, sometimes it’s just hard to hear the same thing multiple times daily/weekly. Anyone else experience this?

@DalmatiaRN: I have a very annoying co-worker, too, lol, although admittedly about another topic. One time I told her – “Please don’t ask me the same thing about this any more. If and when I have an update, I will let you know. Thanks!!” Then she backed off. I get that people can really be annoying sometimes.

If they know that you’re TTC, then I would talk with them about their comments. One of the most frustrating things when we were TTC were those who knew asking us every other day if we were pregnant yet. When it took a year and a half, those comments were very stressful to handle. Those people don’t know they’re stressful unless you tell them that they are.

I agree with @2PeasinaPod:. I would say something to them. Otherwise, it will get so annoying.

I think I need to sit down with a few people and have that conversation. Those that I’m close with never confront me about this, it’s others that overhear the conversations that seem to be patrolling my uterus.

I’m not TTC and this still annoys me to no end – I can’t just not feel good, my co-workers always assume I must be pregnant. I can’t even imagine how much worse it will be once I’m actually TTC!
