A girl I work with added me to Facebook today. She had a look at my wedding pictures and kept making comments about how different I look. In my wedding pictures I had long blonde hair and I now have short honey colored hair so I mentioned that and she said no my face looks fuller.
A bit later another girl we work with mentioned how she was going to te gym tonight and I said I was too, I’ve gained some weight lately and need to get bam into healthy eating and exercising.
The first girl said “oh that’s why you look so different”. She didn’t mean it to hurt my feelings, but did say she thinks I look perfect at the weight i was at my wedding, asked if I’m feeling healthy and said “well I guess it doesn’t matter you are married now”
Ive been feeling really self conscious about my weight gain but after a good weekend I was in a happy place and now I feel self conscious thinking everyone in my office thinks I’m a fat pig 🙁
She did say not to worry though, its not like I’m massive

*hugs* i am sorry for the hurtful comments, i understand how you feel. i am currently obese due to antidepressant weight gain, my grandmother called me fat last week

just remember your husband thinks you are as beautiful today as the day you got married 🙂

What a b*tch! Is this girl married? Is she jealous or just enjoys being a pest? It’s still rude even if she didn’t mean it to be and it looks like she kept talking even after that. And all those “dig” comments, like what’s it matter if your healthy your married. Um so? Married = I can forget about my health now?
I would just ignore them all. Yea so what if you’ve gained weight it happens your getting back on track, screw her. I’ve gained weight and taken it off twice and never had anyone say anything so rude.

That was totally unnecessary! She might not have meant it to be rude or mean but people shouldn’t say that! Just ignore those comments and focus on yourself, you don’t need that kind of energy surrounding you, so I would just brush them off and be happy! Don’t let anyone bring you down, we are all beautiful! 🙂

(( HUGS ))
Definitely sounds like this chick has issues / is a mean girl.
In the longrun Karma will catch up to her (and Karma is a b!tch)
Forget her… people like this are a waste of time… enjoy your life, your marriage, your husband.
Oh ya and for the record… in the first year of marriage they say many Newlyweds gain weight… partly because of the extravagance of the Honeymoon… and partly because of the “comfort” of being a couple together. It does tend to effect women more than men…
So there is an explanation… just means you are INCREDIBLY HAPPY !!

I lost a tonne of weight this year, and have gained it all back. I was already feel self concious but seriously thought I was just back up to my wedding weight, not bigger!
I really can’t see that much of a difference?

- Wedding: November 2013 - St. Augustine Beach, FL
I got the same thing when I posted the first pic of me and my FH from two years ago. Someone I work with responded about how different I look now (now that I am 15 pounds heavier.) I use it to encourage myself at the gym but it was still upsetting.

Uhm that girl sounds like an idiot. Honestly I can not tell the difference in weight between those two photos. So any “weight gain” you have had really is not noticeable. Do not let her make you feel bad! You look great!

you are beautiful! dont let this girls comments getto you.. you should excersise and be healthy for you, not anyone else. If you feel good now then thats wonderful, you have no reason not too!

I think you look great both wedding day and casual…..girls will be girls, we always put our foot in our mouths and a lot of times we are jealous for no reason!
