What about making your own jewelry? That’s what my bridesmaids are doing and I may even go that route.

Is it a budget issue or just that you don’t want to pay $$$ for something you only wear once? You can always sell whatever you buy to another bride or maybe you can find another bride to go in on something together. That way you’re not paying quite as much for a once-in-a-lifetime piece.

You can always rent something too (e.g. from Rent the Runway).

@jessyrez:  I am in the same boat but now my date is 12 days away so I am just going to have to bite the bullet and get something. Ugh.

I did not spend the money on expensive jewelry and I really don’t think anyone could tell the difference!  My earrings were my biggest splurge – they were about $50 from a department store – but my bracelet was less than $10 from Claire’s and I got nothing but compliments.

haha I hear ya. I bought a pair of Eliot Danori earrings and I wish I could get away with wearing them everyday. It’s a really good brand– check it out.

Have you though of buying costume jewelry? That way it’s inexpensive and you don’t have to worry about wearing it again. I also think if you buy nice jewelry you can wear them on special occasions.

I made my own jewelry (necklace, earrings bracelet) and my BM’s jewelry.  I purchased the materials from artbeads.com and I spent less than $60 for everything I needed for my girls and I.

Maybe buy accessories that aren’t too expensive….there are great inexpensive options out there! You can always sell them on the bee after your wedding to get your money back! I totally think accessories are very important in completing the wedding look!

I say you only get marreid once right…..so wear what you love as long as it doesn’t break the bankWink

@MargaritaVille – i agree

 If you haven’t checked out Charming Charlie you definitely should. The store has its jewelry/handbags separated by color. This store is accessory heaven lol. I bought a necklace/earring set and a bracelet for $26.

Definitely worth checking out if you have one near you.
