I bought the flowers for ceremony decor mock up about a month ago. Finally had time to do the mock up on Friday and decided to buy them today. Dollar Tree already changed their flowers to spring. If I had known they only carry seasonal flowers I would have bought them all last month.
Right now all the flowers are either yellow and pink, they don’t really have lavendar / purple anymore.
Now I am really bummed out. I bought some different flowers as best as I could today, but the colors just doesn’t work as good IMO. I will post some pictures later tomorrow and get some feedback.
I drove to two stores just to see if they have any “last season” flower left. Who would’ve known hydrangeas are winter flowers 😛

So sorry, that must be frustrating. I hope it all works out in your favor, just keep being patient and you’ll find what you need in due time.
P.S. Have you ever considered paper flowers? They are quite pretty, I’ve seen them on Etsy before and think they’re so unique and artistic.

Have you considered buying from online? Save on Crafts has a nice selection of artificial flowers, as does Afloral.com. I used both sites for various wedding related flowers, and was very happy with the quality and prices!!

Coukld you contact their head off and ask if they can source them fro you and send them to your local store? They might just be in storage at the warehouse until next season or there might be a store with a lot left! Worth a try.

So the first two pictures are my initial mockup, with only hydrangeas in two color tones (to alternate at the aisle) I haven’t really glue the ribbon on the jar yet but this will be the one I am using to hang onto the ceremony chairs.
After my runs to the store and bought all the available flowers…here are how they turn out:
My wedding color theme is dark purple and light green. Do you think this is way too much pink? I personally don’t like the dark purple one with the black center. The black part look super fuzzy…very scary 😛

@lamkky: I really do think they look beautiful!!! I had to go back through the photos to notice the differences, and even after the third time, I still can barely (not even sure if at all) tell!

@MadTownGirl: thank you very much!
my only concern is there are so many different type of flowers in these arrangements…should I just stick to a kind or two instead?
(I know I know…guests most likely won’t care…probably just me )

@lamkky: Definitely do what you feel happy with, but I personally like the different flowers. I know it doesn’t look as simplistic (is that what your going for?) as your original plan, but I think the flowers you chose really balance out the bouquets and give them a bit more character. 🙂 The third pic down (with them all) is awesome and I can barely there are different flowers in all the vases, I just see a mixture of the beautiful colors.
