@itsmecandie:  I’m so sorry honey! I had to change my hair and MUA at the last minute so I know how stressful it is.

Is there any way that you can get a refund? Does she know that you weren’t happy? Keep shopping around, I’m sure there’s another artist who will do a fantastic job.

I’m so sorry! I know the makeup bit is always hard for some ladies because you need quite a bit more than what you’d normally wear, and lots of MUAs really have no idea what they’re doing (if I had a dollar for every time a MUA tried to put some weird/gross shade of whatever on me, I could pay off my student loans).

Would you feel confident enough to do it yourself? Or at least the makeup? Could you play around with different tutorials this weekend and see? Pinterest has really great tutorials that you could play around with. Just remember that it needs to be heavier than your daily makeup to show up on camera.

Oh no! How stressful!! Are there any others in your area with good reviews who are still available? Or at least for hair? Maybe you could do your own makeup if you are comfortable?

My Makeup went ok, but I had two hair trials and neither panned out.

I’m nervous, but there’s nothing I can do about it with a month left to go 🙁

🙁 so sorry! Mine didn’t go super well either. I was un-impressed with my first trial run for makeup so I scheduled another and it was much better. My hair, however, is another story. I had originally planned on curling my hair myself and leaving it down. Then I thought I should do an up-do so I scheduled a hair trial.. Well it was a BUST! the pins started falling out the minute she left and there was a huge crease in the side. And yeah, I also had the same thoughts–I can do this better myself. So that’s what I’m going to do, I’m just going to do my own hair. I’ll have my makeup done but I’m going to go with my original idea for my hair.

Maybe practice intensifying your makeup but also use primer and a setting spray? The setting spray will help to keep the look longer.
