June can be a bit warm and the beach would actually be a lot cooler, but the wind could be pretty brutal.

I’m having an outdoor garden wedding in May.  May is a good month as it’s right before the heat and during the Spring easy months.

My location is at a church that has outdoor weddings in Orange County and they have this outdoor "chapel" that is shaded by native oak trees.  A lot better with shade, plus they offer bamboo parasols included in your rental fee.  Everyone gets one, so it’s a nice alternative.

Our wedding is June 6 of this year. I have noticed the weather for these past couple of years because we’ve been having out of town guests In May and June. If you want to have your wedding in June, especially inland, I would pick the first or second week of June. I actually thought that late May weather is perfect. not too cold and not too warm.

We had a graduation party for Future Sister-In-Law on the second weekend of June 2006 and it was HOT during the day as we decorate our backyard. We blew up some balloons to be placed in the pool and they kept on popping left and right even when we kept them in our patio area which was shaded. By the time the party started we only had 4-5 balloons left. But it cooled off around 6 or so and was nice afterwards.

June is hot.  But it really depends are where you are in So Cal.  I would check the weather for the past few years for your date.  That will give you a good idea.  I live in San Diego and I think it gets pretty hot, until I visit my mom in Riverside.  Good grief!  My aunt lives in Palm Springs and I thought it was 90 at 2am.  I’m sure I’m exaggerating, but not by much.

it’s gonna be warm during the day, i won’t lie. but at night it does get somewhat decent outside. now july, i’d just tell you were nuts. 🙂 if you’re close enough to the coast, you’ll get a nice breeze, and then it’ll be really nice.

If you have a wedding website, put that information on there.  Let guests know, so they can plan accordingly.  Was it 60-70 at the same time you’ll be having the reception?  That sounds more than bearable.

That almanac thing is the most fabulous tool! Thanks for posting! I am having the opposite problem–I am getting married in mid May and I am worried about our guests being too cold at our outdoor reception.

I personally think an outdoor evening reception in June in SoCal will be super comfortable. I don’t think I’ve ever felt too warm outside around 6:30 p.m.
