@turkey22  Yup yip ^_^ sometimes it’s cheaper to order parts seperately! My ring was custom and we got the price first then worked in it. Theplatinum in my ring is worth more than we paid for the ring + moissanite + craftsmanship 🙂

The natural sapphire company has a lot of great reviews too xxx

Check into Chatham lab created sapphires. They are so gorgeous, and most jewelry stores can order them in for you at no charge. The prices are MUCH more affordable as well, and they are real sapphires.

Awww *hugs* So sorry you are stressed. Don’t worry, it will all be fine. Maybe now is not the time for you guys to plunk down money on your forever ring, and that’s totally ok!! You can get a $15 cz ring for now, and trust me, I’ve seen some pretty ones!! I think that emotionally, you won’t feel bad spending money on a ring when you’re in a more ideal situation.

Always check out eBay and bidz.com, too. You can find some great deals there. Just put things on hold until you figure out a plan you’ll feel good about. Also, check out moissaniteco.com’s sale page, just go to their site and click the sale link in red on the left (and there is tons of info about moissanite here and on betterthandiamond.com/discussion). There are some beauties for $500 and less there, and if you’ve never seen moissanite, it is gorgeous and sparkles like crazy!

Please also try Diamond Bistro.com which is where folks sell a variety of jewelry second hand as well as IDONOWIDONT which is also a great site. As for me, I got the following by getting a stone custom cut by Tairus in Russia and buying the setting at a pawn shop who was wiling to put my stone in it. Total setting in 18kt was $1,000 and the stone was $1,000. The band was $350 and is 14kt. Used can certainly be less!

I have sapphire ring that is 14k gold with a beautiful sapphire center and white sapphire halo.

It was only $199 at Sam’s Club!

My favorite picture! Taken at work under the florescent lights :]
It’s about a half eternity I would say.
To give you a better idea of the milligrain..
I love this one smile she is sparkle city!
