We had just bought a brand new external flash for our camera.
Darling Husband when to take some architectural photos for a proyect (we’re both graphic designers) and i couldnt go with him because im sick.
When he came back i asked how it was and the first thing he said “i broke the flash” and i was like “what do you mean you broke it? what happened?” not angry or anything.
He showed it to me and told me he had a problem with the tripod or something and he just left… a couple of minutes later he came back and told me he didnt secure the tripod enough and the camera fell, but thankfully the flash hit the floor first. I said “oh THANK GOD it was the flash and not the camera!”
But he gets all whiny and acts like a kid when he does something wrong (he’s a perfectionist) and that makes me angry… it’s like “yeah, i know you fucked up BIG TIME but man, you’re human and these things happen, i don’t want to deal your AWFUL mood on top of the broken flash”
The thing looks easy to repair, there’s nothing smashed or broken, maybe just 1 wire, but it’s not like the whole thing shattered. I’m grateful it was a $130 flash instead of our $2000 camera or our friend’s $1000 flash!
Sorry i just wanted to vent.
Im not angry or anything, i just want him to calm down and stop acting like a little kid everytime he messes up :/ it’s not cool.

I’ve been sick so i havent been able to work that much around the house, but i did keep clean the room and since he was working taking the photos, i thought: “i think i should help washing some dishes (event though he said he would wash them all) to help him out, he deserves it” So i washed i dunno, about 1/3 of the dishes or something and i stopped because i have to get some work done on my computer by today for my dad’s bussiness.
and he just randomly said:
“Babe, can you order your food, i can’t cook, work on the project, wash the dishes and everything else”
He hadn’t washed A SINGLE PLATE since he got here… or since yesterday, when he told me he was going to do it.
So i told him: “ok, REST and i’ll do the dishes and everything instead, i will do the work for my dad’s bussiness tomorrow, no one will care if it’s one day late” and i started doing it… when i washed 2 plates i told him: “you know what? i would actually like if YOU did them and i finish my work on time… it it’s not much to ask” and started working.
He sat for a couple of minutes and he left, whithout doing anything… oh boy im not happy about it.
This is the biggest “argument” we’d had, since we’ve been together, let alone married. ush…
