@Laurenplusalex:  I would have prefered when I moved here from another state, but all good things are worth waiting for.  Hope you get it sooner than expected!

Yep. If we are doing gifts for something, I ask him whether or not he wants ideas (provided he hasn’t asked me for ideas already). Then I give him a list of options to choose from and he goes from there. For Mother’s Day he asked me what I wanted, and I told him that I wanted us to paint the great room and kitchen cabinets. He HATES painting. hehehe It was the only way I was going to get him to agree, and I am not above being a lil sneaky to get home improvement projects checked off of the list. 😉

We ask each other. I’m terrible with picking out things so I would much prefer a list. I actually like to pick out my own stuff to so we’ll usually go shopping together for half of my presents lol

@Laurenplusalex:  It kinda depends. This year we splurged staying at a suite at a fancy hotel on our last vacation, so we counted that as both of our presents. I then saw a pair of shoes I liked (not ridiculously expensive ones) and I asked him if he could get them for my bday lol.. he agreed.

I’ll generally hint if there’s something I want.. I’m not the most subtle person!

My guy keeps a running list of things I mention on his iphone and pulls those for ideas. Sometimes we just go on a vacation instead or get something big. This year for our anniversary we bought a house, so no trinkets were necessary! Haha

@Laurenplusalex:  We have lists of things we want but we are both very practical so they are just normal items for the house we want but wouldnt buy just because we wanted them. Every year while dating he always did the dishes for valentines day and this last year he bought me a dishwasher so I dont know what hes going to do next valentines day.

Yes. I not only tell him, but I bookmark the items on his laptop and give him a printed list.

Not even kidding.

After our first Christmas (which is now affectionately referred to as “Tribal Horse Necklace” Christmas) I’ll never let another major holiday sneak by without pre-screening all gift ideas.

I have an amazon wishlist that I keep updated. He always gets me something from there.

Yep. FI’s not great with gifts (though he has surprised me before!), so I just direct him to my Pinterest wants board.

I normally always tell him what I want, but for this birthday I let him choose! It was worth it, he overdid it this year and we are going to have an awesome mini vacation planned the week after he takes his bar exam.

I have a Pinterest gift list I direct him to. There are loads of things on there in a variety of price ranges. I get something I will definitely like and he still gets to surprise me.
