Does anyone else have this problem? When we met my SO would take pictures standing next to me, facing forward, NOT smiling like we were an interracial version of American Gothic! He’s slowly getting better but really only because everytime we’re about to take a picture I say “Try to act like you like me!”
Any Bees out there break their SO of the frownies? Advice very, very welcome!

Ughh, my fiance used to smile with his mouth closed and still does alot of the time unless I remind him to do a REAL smile for photos. It annoys me so much because in alot of our pictures he looks so unhappy.
I just started pointing it out to him in our developed pictures and he agrees that he doesn’t like the way he looks! He smiles alot more now!

FH doesn’t really smile in pictures too. He has straight up yellow teeth from the 1-2 POTS of coffee he drinks a day. He hates chemicals so won’t even consider whitening them. My teeth will be pearly white on our wedding day though.

I kind of have this issue. I think Fiance thinks he looks better in pictures when he’s being serious or silly. So a lot of times I’ll want to take a nice picture and he will either not smile at all or make some stupid face. It gets on my nerves because we went on a day trip to DC and the other couples we were with all had nice pics together, whereas Fiance and I had pictures where I was smiling and he was acting dumb. Ugh…I hope he doesn’t do this on our wedding day.

My husband smiles, but dosn’t show his teeth much.
My BIL hardly ever smiles and when he does smile in pictures you can tell it is forced. It just looks so awkward and goofy! My Mother-In-Law is always yelling at him for ruining the picture lol.

My best friend who was my MoH doesn’t like her open smile so always smiles with her mouth closed. It makes her look angry or disingenous. It drives me mildly nuts when I’m looking at photos and everyone looks really happy except for her. And, her open mouth smile is really quite pretty and her teeth are perfect. But we’re all our own worst critics and if I had tried to make her smile for real, she would’ve been uncomfortable and that would’ve shown in her body language in the photos.

I have this problem MYSELF! I dont’ like the way my face looks in pictures when I smile… And I completely overthink everything, so when I do smile for a picture it looks completely forced/fake! I’m workin’ on it…. haha.
