I ran my first 5k on Saturday. I appreciate the bees who posted messages of support- I did run the entire thing, finished in 34 minutes- not bad for my first one.
Little background- I got up to 180 pounds at the begining of October- the heaviest I have ever been and decided to make some changes and wanted to get down to 150. Even more exciting, I got on the scale today- 148.8! Yipee!!!!!!! Going to go for a run now. Yea!

Get it girl! I remember when I ran my first. I was so proud. That takes work and determination- keep it up… next stop 5 miles!!!!

good for you!! my dad is a marathon runner, so recently I decided maybe I’d give it a try..then I did one day of Jillian Michael’s 30 day shred and laughed hysterically – from the floor, where I landed. so I give you serious props, lol!

@guitargirl: Awesome job! I’m one my like 100th 5K and training for a marathon and I still barely finish a 5K in 34 minutes 😉
