I finished packing Sunday night, and drove up to the new city we are moving to yesterday to do closing on the house. We signed all the legal paperwork and got to spend some time in the house with my parents. It really finally hit home that this beautiful, new, perfect house would officially be ours in 3 days!!
All the stress of finding a new job, packing, and dealing with the parents just melted away as I walked through the rooms, and knew that it would be ours.
Thursday we take possession, and friday is moving day. Myself and FH have been together for 3 years, and have been LD since January, when he took his job in our new city, and in just a couple days we will be living together for the first time in our new home!
We are both so excited, we went out last night to look for some of the things we will need in our new house (we have double or triple of so many things, and a total lack of other things). It really feels like a new beginning, and I feel amazing today!
I just has to share all my excitement – wedding planning is next once we get settled!

The day we officially got our house was SO exciting, we literally ran around the house yelling that it was ours. We didn’t move in that night but we wanted to stay there so we got pizza and ate it while watching a movie on his laptop then slept on the floor in the living room 🙂

CONGRATULATIONS! I know how you feel, sorta! I have to wait till about December when ours is done being built 🙁 But…did anyone else get the feeling I did when you closed, the something in the pit of your stomach that makes you want to run to bathroom or for a brown paper bag? Seeing the numbers out there just scared me to death and hit me. Argh.
Good luck in moving and hope everything turns out well! Nothing like putting your new place togethor! That is the fun part!

Tomorrow is possession day … aka waiting around for our lawyer to call the realtor’s/builder’s lawyer, and the realtor to call us to get the keys day.
We don’t know what time that will all happen, so FH is going to work in the morning, and will come home to get me once we get the call!
We have a bottle of champagne in the fridge here, and will bring it and pop the cork and have a glass each when we get the keys, then we are off running, back to the city I live in for a dinner with all my best girlfriends, then moving time.
I have a bunch of work stuff scheduled the week after the move, but nothing that will take more than 2 hours each day, so I am excited to have time to set up house (we have already bought new patio furniture, picking up a new TV and barbeque this week as well!)
