APOLOGIES for the length of this post – – I just have to share with you all because I am SO excited and the time cannot go by fast enough, LOL – – I posted here how I received a proposal band and that Fiance and I will be designing an Engagement Ring together. Then I posted here asking what everyone thought of 1920’s Art Deco rings – – I asked because along with receiving my proposal band I received FI’s great great grandfathers old mine brilliant cut 1916 diamond. Honoring the diamonds age I decided to have a custom made Art Deco ring. It has taken me a super long time finding the exact design I want, as a result we have combined the looks of two rings =) Below are my inspiration pieces.
I will have the eye shape of this ring – I will not have any green stones, they will be princess cut diamonds. There will also be no filigree design work.
The center stone will be set in an octagon setting like this ring.
Step 1 = making a wax molding w/ no diamonds. It will include the shape of all settings. The wax mold will be ready 2/9 and when I see it we’ll place all the diamonds where they will be set.
Step 2 = if everything looks good and no changes have to be made – – they’ll make the ring in white gold or platinum, that part I haven’t decided yet, lol
WHAT DO YOU THINK?????????
