I just got a call from the bridal store that my dress is in, yay! I am excited because it’ll be in my size and fit properly. I had really bad dress regret right after I bought it and everytime I looked at myself in the pictures of me wearing my dress, I would get so upset and mad at myself for saying ‘yes’ way too soon. I HATED my dress. Now I like it more, but not sure about *love* yet.
SO my question to all of you bees out there who have had dress regret, did it go away once you put your wedding dress on in your actual size?

I doubted my dress after ordering it but once I put it on in the right size, i felt great about it

Mine did, but it didn’t.. I love my dress, don’t get me wrong, but I am madly in love with Belle from Alfred Angelo, she was well out of budget (I tried her on anyway), but I still dream about her.. *sigh* I do love my pretty though..

I really hope this happens to me.
I totally get what you mean. I have a feeling that I might be the same way. My mom absolutely loves me dress so much, and that kinda makes me think I’ll keep my first dress even tho I dont totally love it.

OOH no! I do love my dress, it’s unique and very me, but Belle is very romantic, very bridal to me, my dress is not as *bridal* as I thought it would be…

When I found my dress, I knew it was perfect…
When I ordered my dress, I was worried I had spent too much…
When I waited for it to arrive, I hated myself for buying so quickly…
When it arrived, I cried for 3 days because it was awful (and way too small!!!)…
When I took it to the seamstress to be altered, I started to think it would be ok, but wasn’t in love anymore…
When I tried it on at my last fitting, I fell in love with it all over again.
On my wedding day, I felt like the prettiest girl in the world.
Dress regret stinks– but for 95% of us, it goes away. Have faith! 🙂

This really helped me, thank you for the postitive journey! Everything you said is exactly how I felt and feel at the moment. My fingers are crossed that dress regret will bugger off when I put my dress on. Not a sample but my actual dress, in my size.

Yes I had major dress regret as well. I even started to secretly shop for another dress. Then I got my dress in my size and the consultant suggested that I tried it with a crinoline. It just added something I can’t explained to the dress. I just fell in love all over again.
So give yourself a chance, the dress regret will probably go away!

OMG I was also secretly shopping for another dress!! I went to a bridal store to try dresses on, but didn’t tell a soul. I have been on kijiji, and used wedding dress websites. I will try a crinoline, I hope it helps my dress too.
