I don’t stop when I start breaking out with a new product.  It takes some time for your skin to get cleared out.  I’ve been using Origins and it has really helped to clear up my face but not too much with the oil.  Are you moisturizing?  You need to do it even if you have breakout prone skin.

My Fiance is half Cherokee Indian and half Macedonian…both of his grandmothers used to wash their faces with urine. His Macedonian grandmother passed but his Cherokee Grandmother swears by this and her face is the face of a 60 year old woman…and she’s 87!

I know there was a thread on here a few months back and a couple of bees said the same thing,

I know it’s gross…but it really honestly works!

She, as well as my Future Sister-In-Law when she breaks out, pees in a cup, sticks a lid on it and refridgerates it over night. It’s worth a shot!

sometimes new cleaning systems have to bring everything to the surface first, so you’ll break out more for the first week or so and then get better.  that happens with clarisonic, etc

After reading a few of these threads, I started using Paulas Choice. I bought the acne wash and toner. I was using the toner 2 times per day, but felt like my skin was super duper oily all the time (FI started using it too and said the same thing). Now I use the wash 2 times per day and the toner only at night. I don’t know if I have less pimples, but I think I do. I def noticed that my skin is softer and looks more even. I also have more confidence. I tried using the DHA serum or whatever it is that have at Paulas choice, and had to stop using it. I was getting breakouts from it really bad. With the new regimine, my skin is much better. When my toner is gone, I may switch to a toner that does not have the silicic acid in it through Paulas Choice and see if that works even better. I sometimes think I am being too harsh on my skin. The Paulas Choice stuff is available online and is pretty affordable.

I’ve been using Paulas Choice for about 2 months now.

@JM1217:  I have heard of this, there are a lot of people who swear by it.  Don’t think I could do it though…!

@brttnyhrrll:  Nope! luckily I was blessed with pretty good skin and very rarely ever break out!

But my Fiance has done it, right before our engagement pics actually! He had a freakin’ unicorn horn on his forehead and he washed his face with his pee the night before because he was desperate…I mean this thing was about as big as the tip on my index finger. And it was almost completely gone by morning! He washed hs faec again that morning and by that evening the thing was there, but it was about 85% better!

That was the only time he has eveer done it though. His sister does it every night before she goes ot bed and her skin is flawless…she doesn’t even get blackheads!

@Jamcnair:  Sorry, OP – we were side tracked with the urine thing.  Have you ever tried washing with just water?  I know it sounds wrong, but I know a couple of people whose acne cleared up that way.

@MalbecMe:  It’s a best kept secret! Seriously, I would try it in a heartbeat if I ever HAD to. But I can’t say that I’m not unhappy that I don’t break out much, haha. But if I got a big whopper the day before my wedding, I’d be washing my face with urine allllllllll day!

You can just collect some urine, and use cotton balls to swipe some on your face lol
