- Wedding: November 2012
My wedding is a week away. On top of already being a nervous wreck because I have a type A personality and am just wanting the day here already, with everything done.
Anyway, I went to my last fitting today. I have a ball gown with a tight strapless top that ends around the hips and turns into the “ball gown” area.
Well, she did do a lot of good work taking it in. It was a dress “off the rack” because I really really liked it, yet it was too big. So, alterations were a must. She took in a lot of the top of the gown. Well, there are some wrinkles within the top, not sure if that is normal and if you had the same thing going? Or if this abnormal and should absolutely be fixed??? She says that she can’t do much because of how much it was taken in and so the wrinkling is because of that.
I don’t even know how to explain it all that well, does anyone know what I mean?? Did you have any wrinkling in the fabric on the top of your ball gown because it was pretty tight??
I really need advice on this and how to handle it because if she says nothing else can be done and that its due to how much it was taken in, what should I do?? 🙁
Not sure if I am overreating and this can be normal or if it should be 100% smooth under all of the beading on the top.
This picture is BEFORE any alterations….just to show what it looks like…I was holding the back to tighten at that time. Are those wrinkles in the fabric normal???
