- Wedding: January 2014
I’m getting this off my chest here! I have been mostly enjoying the wedding planning process but I am really just ready to be married now. We’ve got pretty much all the big things booked and confirmed! I’m also a bridesmaid for my friend who is getting married in 2 months. Also, it seems that EVERYONE is getting engaged at the moment! I am truly excited be getting married, being a bridesmaid and celebrating with all my other friends who are getting married but I am SOO looking forward to this season of weddings being over.
It seems like every week there are at least 3 wedding related appointments to go to. Yesterday, it was the bridesmaid fitting for my friend’s wedding. Today, it’s buying my bridesmaid shoes. Tomorrow, it’s getting my wedding invites all made and ready to send. Saturday it’s getting all the fabric for my dress followed by going to premarital counselling. Sunday, it’s meeting with the musicians to confirm what the music will be at the ceremony and reception. Then the next four months are filled with Hen’s Parties, Engagement Parties, Weddings! It’s sucking so much time and money! I am enjoying most of it but I am feeling pretty exhausted!
Since Fiance and I are doing things according to our Christian beliefs, we won’t be moving in together until we’re married and we are waiting until marriage for sex(although we’ve failed a few times, whoops). Now that we are in the homestretch of waiting I am really wanting to just jump on him all the time! I’m no good at this waiting til marriage!
Anyway I just wanted to get that out of my system! I love weddings really, and I am mostly excited about it all! I realise that this post is all over the place – sorry about that!
Any words of encouragement, fun date ideas that doesn’t involve wedding stuff, fun things I should do while living apart from FH or any constructive comments would be appreciated! Help me stay positive through all the busyness and waiting!
