Now I don’t feel like a freak for being engaged so young (compared to my friends at least – I’ll be 24 at the wedding, so not THAT young). Did anyone else who was the first of their friends to get engaged feel relieved when someone else got engaged?

I can’t WAIT for one of my friends to get engaged. Hasn’t happened yet, but I’m holding out!

Maybe I’m biased, but I don’t think 24 is too young! I’m going to be 23 in less than a month and have been engaged for a month in two days.
Surprisingly, we are not the first of our friends to get engaged…I was actually starting to feel kind of old because a LOT of our friends have already gotten married. My soon-to-be-cousin-in-law and his fiancee got engaged in April, so about three months before us. We’re really close with them and will be in each other’s weddings! =)

I’m turning 24 this October and SO has already bought the ring (but he hasn’t proposed yet). We have planned to have our wedding next year, so I will get married when I’m 24 too!
Most of my friends are older and none of them are even thinking about getting engaged. some in their 30s and still single. I feel bad about this sometimes. I hope one of them is getting engaged soon but I don’t think that would happen! – that’s why I need WeddingBee 🙂

I’m 22 and the first of my close knit circle of friends to get engaged. Yet, a friend on the outer circle of friends got engaged, so it felt nice to talk about wedding stuff with and not get that annoyed face. Hahaha.

Im the first of my friends to get engaged, shoot none of my friends are even in a real relationship. I hear my fiance’s friends telling him “you guys are so young, you have your whole life ahead of you” My friends tell me that Im crazy and that I should be going out having fun instead of tieing myself down Supportive bunch arent they haha No but they are happy for us. I will turn 23 12 days before our wedding. I dont think Im that young? but I wish someone else would get engaged so we could be at the same place in life you know?

By the time I get married I’ll have just turned 25, but when I got engaged I was 23, and I was the first friend out of my group to get engaged, which was a shock in itself because several of my friends had been in longer relationships (and I was always the one that loved single life before I started hanging out with my now Fiance, didn’t think I’d ever want to get married ro settle down), but one of those couples finally got engaged a month after I did and we are both bridesmaids in each others weddings (our weddings are a month apart as well) so it’s nice to have someone to bounce ideas off of each other.

A couple of former friends got engaged right after I did, and it took me by surprise. I’m not close to either of them. Most people my age are “too young” in the maturity sense to be getting engaged and married.
It hasn’t happened with anyone I’m particularly close to yet, but then again I tend to only have a small handful of close friends.
