Thanks for the linky.

Maybe the dude sending girls date response forms was a matchmaking agency he hired? That’s the only logical reason I can think of for that. Both guys are totally creepy though, ew.

I remember hearing about this in the local news like a month ago. Dating in NYC is the worst, I hear stories like this from my single friends CONSTANTLY.

LOL, dating in NYC isn’t always that bad, guys!  Then again, I only went on a handful of dates with “finance” guys… prob a smart move on my part 🙂

Lots of NYC dating experience here, and I can’t say that this guy is the worst. I’ve known a good amount of good guys that use this method when online dating. But yeah, dating in NYC is very tough. The span between dating and actually being exclusive with each other can take forever! I’m so, so happy I don’t have to deal with that anymore!

I remember a few years ago, one of my good friends went out on about 3 dates with a finance guy, he was VERY gropey and she was really put off by his behavior. She basically stopped texting and calling him hoping he’d get the point. About THREE weeks later, he wrote her this passive aggressive email saying he wanted a check from her for the dinners he took her on because he was feeling “used”.  We COULD NOT believe the email and admittedely we all forwarded it around. Long story short, the email ended up getting forwarded to THOUSANDS of people and the guy started getting harassing emails/calls at work- because his info was on the email. THEN, I was chatting casually with a producer contact at The View (I’m in PR) I was relaying the story and he thought it would be a great discussion for their Hot Topics segment! Next thing you know, Star Jones and Barbara Walters were discussing it! The whole thing took on a life of its own. My producer contact wanted to book a follow up segment featuring my friend (she wanted to) AND the guy, but he was already so embarrased he refused to go on.  In the end we were like “don’t mess with a PR girl!”  It was pretty funny and something we will never forget.

All of my bad dates have been with engineers. I think something about being told that you are going to be rich and be able to have any girl you want sets these dudes up for dissapointment, it just takes more than a career now when most ladies have great careers of their own.

@KS240030:  Weird! Engineers are definitely the hot-shots of the PNW, I wonder if it’s a regional thing? To be fair my SO Is a software engineer and he’s easily the nicest guy I’ve ever been with . . . I’m probably biased though. 😉
