Title says it all. He never came home after a work party last night. It’s 5am now and I haven’t slept. I’m worried. I’ve been crying for hours. Right now I’m praying to God he’s on someone’s floor somewhere.
It’s not unusual for him to be out late, but it is highly unusual for him not to tell me. His phone is off and I know he’s had a problem with the battery.
On a side note, since I haven’t slept and am sick with worry I don’t plan on going to work today. No idea what I’m going to tell my boss (can’t take a sick day without a note).
Dear Lord I hope SO turns up or contacts me soon and is safe and well. I don’t want to have to start checking hospitals and I have no idea how to go about filing a missing persons report.

have you tried contacting any of this friends he was with last night? That sucks that its causing you to worry so much but he is probably fine and just hasnt had a chance to call.

@ladyartichoke: Oh no I hope everything is okay!! Just try to stay calm. It probably is just a dead battery on his phone and he’s on someones couch.

I’m sorry to see this. Hope he’s just sleeping it off somewhere and he contacts you soon! Keep us updated!

@ladyartichoke: have you tried calling him? is the behavior normal for him? Do you know where the party was? I would start calling hospitals esp if this behavior is not normal for him

@ladyartichoke: Oh I’m sorry! How scary! I bet you anything that he got super drunk, went to some friend’s / coworker’s house for an afterparty, his phone died, and he passed out there. Wait til 8 or 9 before you start (continue) freaking out TOO much. ((HUGS!))
ETA: do you have his coworkers’ phone numbers? If so, I’d start calling around in another hour or so. xox

@ladyartichoke: I agree with lightmist, try calling the people he was out with last night. Hopefully he’ll turn up soon, he’s probably just passed out somewhere.

Ugh. Anybody you can call at work to see if he showed up at work safely today? Or is he off today?

Praying that everything is OK. Hang in there, love.

I would definitely try calling his friends first. If his phone has been having issues already, it’s probably just died, and he’s crashing on someone’s couch. Maybe once 8am hits, I’d start making some calls. Hope you hear from him soon!

Oh hun! I don’t blame you for being worried sick! I’d be a wreck, too. But just remember there are so many other things that it could be other than your worst-case scenario. Do you know where the party was? Do you know any of the people that he works with? If all else fails, could you call his office/place of work once it opens for the day?
Hang in there, darlin!

@lightmist: Agreed. I would call everyone I know that he could be with or has a number of someone he could be with. I would even go banging on doors if I knew exactly where he was and be damned if he gets embarassed. He deserves it after pulling a stunt like this.
I am sure he is fine and sleeping somewhere, but I am sure it is super stressful.

@lightmist: I don’t know any of them, they’re all work people. So have no numbers. I’ve checked his bag for contacts but no luck (he only took his phone and wallet with him). I will call the office when they open at 9.
@Omgbunnies: Logically I know you’re right. Emotionally, I can’t help but fear the worst.
@MrsStrawberry24: I know where the dinner was but he told me the after party was TBC.
