You could weave some ribbon in and out of the crochet work, you could bead the ribbon if you wanted! Those shoes are awesome… they look super comfy!!

@StormyRose:  ooooo! Congratulations!!!  I’m so glad you’re going flats then! I had a friend who wore heels the ENTIRE time she was pregnant…everywhere we went I was walking behind her just waiting to catch her…it was nerve wracking!

If I wanted to jazz them up, I would thread narrow ribbon through the weave- not right at the top- leave that pretty edge alone- but in the middle row of the 3 rows of squarish pattern below that.

I would then find some bling-? a rhinestone bow- to attach at the front to cover where the ribbon joins.
