Well my husband & I almost got a 3 bedroom car garage house yesterday. (Rent not own.) But it would have been AMAZING since we rent a 1 bedroom apartment.
We was super excited, ready to get the key & everything. Starting to collect boxes to pack.. Then someone else moved in. 🙁
The story… The landlord lives in a different state. She was going to let someone else move in (a man) until she dug up some background info & saw he was into drug related things. (Also she knows my father in law, this is how we found out about the house.) Everyone’s phones was out yesterday in that area (including my father in laws.) So she could not get ahold of him & BAM he went on and moved in. The previous owners gave him the key as they had no idea. We called her & let her know what happened & she said since he was already there & had no where else to go this soon of notice she was going to let him stay there. She said he has ONE time to party, miss rent, ect & he has to go.
We was just super duper excited & then let down all in the same week! It was very upsetting to say the least. We love our lil one bedroom apartment. This month we have been here for two years & it is our home! But we was just so ready for a bigger home. Vent ended.
Anyone else have anything to vent about?

ugh im sorry, that sucks. Thankfully I own the home we are living in at the moment, but several things like that happened when I was trying to buy. I think I had about 4 offers in and they were all bought for cash by relitives before they went through, who does that.
Hope you find your dream place soon!

I told my husband something better would come along for us! 🙂 Hopefully SOON!
Thankfully our landlord is very nice & if we leave before our lease is up (our new lease starts this month) she still gives you your deposite back & doesn’t mind you leaving when you want to!
Its hard around here to find something afforable that allows PETS! With 4 fur babies (& I promise our home is super clean) no one wants to rent to you. I can understand because some people are down right nasty & don’t care because they don’t own it. But it sucks for those who do care. :/

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose: I’m so sorry! There’s got to be blessing in disguise happening there. Wish you both the best and hope you find an even better place 🙂

We are looking to move too-staying in a house with 5 other people (it is a large house but still) and there just isn’t much available in our price range (under 2K-Hawaii is brutal!) and allows pets (one small and clean kitty). I feel for you! Something will come along.
