Commenting to follow up! This thread sure has captivated the bee… Seems we all love a good mystery, conspiracy theory, whatever you want to call it. How fun! Glad to see a thread that’s pretty much entirely positive and enthusiastic!

This is crazy.  My mom lost her original engagement ring (we think the cat knocked it into a vent).  It was never found.  Can’t wait to find out what this is!

I kid you not, I had a similar situation!

I was doing laundry in our new washer and dryer & I was taking a load of dry laundry out of the laundry basket and folding it on the bed. At the bottom of the basket was what looked like a diamond on it’s own, like the one you found.  THIS WAS BEFORE I WAS ENGAGED so I totally thought my guy bought the diamond seperate from the setting and left it in his pants pocket or something.

I googled all the tests and it did seem to fog up when I blew on it….

I ended up confronting my guy and he swears he has no idea to this day where this mystery “diamond” came from…but he did take it to his jewler to get tested and it’s a fake!

Keep us updated!

@paula1248:  is that the wrong link than what you meant to post? Because that post 20 looks totally different and is a different ring.

@BlondeMissMolly:  Hmm “exactly” is overstating it but to me they look quite similar in size and shape. It’s the photo in front of a computer screen, 2nd last in the thread. The colour’s a little different but I was attributing that to the blue screen in the background.
