This is what a washing machine door will do to your finger when it drops from an almost open position.
If you can’t tell from my knuckle to almost the top of my finger is bruised. If it would have hit my finger a tiny bit further down, I cringe to think of what would have happened to my e-ring.

Owchies! Hope your finger isn’t hurting too bad. Beautiful ring, btw!

@Rouquine: It doesn’t hurt too bad. It looks worse than it is. Thanks for the ring compliment!

Owwie. I’m not normally squeamish, but I can NOT handle it when my fingers get crushed or otherwise hurt…I bashed my finger on a metal bar so hard once that I got an instant lump and it started turning this violent purplish-blue. I was *this* close to blacking out, had to sit and take deep breaths for a few minutes until the roaring in my ears went away and my vision returned.

Ouch! I hate when that happens with the washer… I’m happy it doesn’t hurt too badly. I usually get light headed like I’m going to pass out when my fingers get smooshed in anything. Good thing your beautiful ring didn’t get caught in the door!
