Welcome to my world. When I was 18 I was a 34DD; now I’m a 36DDD.

The thing about D and Dirty Delete (even some C) bras is that they NEED to be made well. With smaller boobs you can get away with cheapo bras because you don’t need to worry as much about the support. I hate my friends with As and Bs that can buy $12 Target bras.

VS has good bras, but they ARE expensive. I shop at Cacique (Lane Bryant) but I’m pretty sure they don’t carry band size less than 36.

You can find really cute bras in those sizes on the VS website. I think I recall larger sizes on the AE website too!

I do remember some debate on this board a few days ago about VS and their measurements.

Just curious – Why would your SO celebrate this measurement? Have you guys not seen each other in a while? Wink

VS’s bras are pretty much overpriced crap….I would suggest not shopping there. Nordstrom and online are the best, in my opinion. Think about how much advertising that VS pays for. There’s no way you’re paying for quality – you’re paying for PR!

Victoria’s Secret sizing is all over the map! I think you should go to another store and try different sizes to be sure. I’ve noticed that VS sort of does vanity sizing in that they tell you that you’re bigger than you are.

@love108:  You can order online from VS and they have good exchange policies. We buy bras on sale there a lot.

I’m a 31 E-F naturally… I feel your pain. Not only is finding bras a nightmare, but fitting into clothes. I need like, a large to fit my boobs and an xs for my shoulders and waist!

Boobs are so difficult…

@love108:  Sure. Don’t freak out yet!

I’ve been going through hell with their swimsuits lately. Sizes are not consistent at all. It’s driving me nuts! Oh and I’m a 34D in some bras at VS but a C or even a B at other stores. It drives me mad.

Oh darling.

Well, first of all, I’ve never really trusted VS for bra fitting (and I went between a 36D and 36DD)–yes, it’s the band measurement and the cup measurement, and how hard could that be, but ultimately, bras really are like jeans (or swimsuits)–different ones will fit differently on your body and it’s important to get a good fit.

My suggestion is go to a proper lingerie store where they specialize in bra fitting. At my place, they’re really nitpicky and make sure you get a good fit (and it’s hard to be modest while you’re doing it, but in the end, your knockers look great)! Plus, you have a somewhat unique size and a proper bra store is more likely to carry it. I also am a believer in the expensive is worth it when it comes to bras–especially if you are um, blessed in that region. $50 hurts, but honestly, as good bras go, it’s not that bad. If you can only afford one for the time being, buy a nude colored smooth cup t-shirt bra.
