Bees, I had originally planned a Winter Wonderland wedding and had EVERY little detail set, but now…. because of certain circumstances we have had to change our date to Aug. 3, 2013 and I’m COMPLETELY lost. I have no color ideas, no theme ideas, nothing. I’m to the edge knowing I only have 10 months and I’m planning a wedding not only completely different from what my vision has been for months but in a different state all the way cross country. HELP!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!
I like black and would love to make it an accent color
i am not a huge fan of light pink nor am i a girly girl at all
I’ve been to 3 weddings in my life, none of the three had a theme nor was it anything big at all.
any ideas are welcome, I want something different

http://www.theperfectpalette.com/ is great for helping with a color palette! Try searching for black and see what comes up. They have some really amazing combinations.
Another thing: casual, semi-formal, formal?
How big of a guest list are you planning to have?
What kind of atmosphere are you going for? Trendy? Modern? Elegant? Traditional? Etc.
Things like that will help you decide on a venue, and then you’re almost there!

@mepayne: ok so we have decided on a venue here’s the link http://www.themeadowsgrove.com/gallery.php
We are having about 150 people and i want it semi-formal, we are planning maybe like 4-9 or 5-10pm I want to be able to take good photos in the day but would love some night time photos as well. Other than that I’m lost

Everyone loves SOMETHING about summer. Can’t you figure out what you love about summer and use that as a starting point. I think of beaches, pick nicks, sitting out under the stars, camp fires and going to the lake as summer things.
I’m sure there are a hundred bees out there with better ideas then mine….

@fivedogsrule: I guess my perspective is a bit skewed since when i think of summer weddings i think about big heavy dresses and 90% humidity lol but I like the stars in the summer…. maybe that’s a good place to start. Thank you 🙂

if you like black, have the bridesmaids where black dresses and then accent the theme with summer flowers or summer colors. any color will go with black. you say you dont like pink? How about yellow, light blue, red, or even an ivory or cream color…
OR maybe do red bridesmaid dresses with a black belt or sash?
Black is a pretty basic color that will accent with anything you choose.
THINK of it this way, what is your absolute favorite thing about summer?
maybe base your theme off of that?
Summer themes for weddings that I have seen or can think of.
RUSTIC BARN / OUTDOOR COUNTRY
but basically it comes down to the colors you want, and ultimately want, just put those colors togehter and go at it. What colors were your theme for the winter wedding?

@Chlso823: Thanks! I am really starting to love the idea of a starry night since Fiance and I would star watch quite a bit when we first started dating, it was our favorite thing to do together. My colors for the winter wedding were silver and black with splashes of royal blue

@RobandLil0107: Starry night sounds lovely. navy birdesmaids dresses would be beauitul with white or ivory bouquet (stars!). A white/ivory wedding dress with dark blue and white bouquet would be stunning.
Good luck with your change in plans!

@crystalrae: Now that is what i was thinking… like exactly. Do you guys think silver table overlays would look good? Should I decide on another color? I’m thinking silver, navy and white right now. i feel like I should have another color in there for contrast

Starry night would be a lovely romantic theme:
multi striings of mini lights on the ceiling
hanging stars over the tables
escort cards- tables named after constellations
