The first one is by far the nicest! I think number 2 is not so nice.

I voted for the Vera Wang.  It’s quite stunning.

Unfortunately, although I do like the idea of and some elements of the Galina, I do not like the execution in this dress.  The pleating on the bodice looks haphazard and only detracts from the design of the dress.  Also, I do not like the way that the overlay and the fabric under it appear together.

I voted for #1 because it’s more to my taste, although both are AMAZING on you. After reading your update with the feel of your wedding, i think the VW is better suited to what you described! Go with that one and sell the Galina.

Galina ALL THE WAY. I love the unusual lace, I LOVE the seaming, and even unaltered I think its more flattering on you. Dont get me wrong, you look great in both, but you look spectacular in the Galina! That shape and seaming were made for you. Honestly, with your body, you don’t need the VW’s gathers. While on most people those are flattering, since you are thin and petite, the clean fit of the Galina is better on you – you don’t need gathers obscuring anything!

@BisBeanBrien:  I should add that, if you decide you really love and want to wear the Galina, by all means, do not allow my comments to deter you. It is very flattering to your figure (your waist looks soooo tiny). It offers a beautiful silhoutte, and it has some very beautiful detailing (the neckline, the lace, and the bling at the center of the back.)

It’s possible that what I am pointing out will not be nearly as obvious in different lighting and after alterations. I haven’t seen the dress on a model, or on other brides, or even in other photos of you, so it’s difficult to tell. I just find myself to be distracted by the other issues I noted, as well as the fact that I can see that long, rectangular zipper panel down the back of the dress, beneath the lace.

Dress #1!  Dress 2 is lovely on you, but just a bit too much.  Although I might be biased because the ruffled dress is not my particular style.  I also think that it’s a much more common style these days, and dress 1 has something very unique about it!  But in the end, you have to choose the dress that makes you feel amazing!

I like the Vera on you, it has that wow factor that the first dress, while very pretty, just doesn’t have.

@BisBeanBrien:  I love love love the 2nd dress on you! That being said, the first dress is super gorgeous too.

Vera Wang – it’s beautiful and the first one doesn’t even compare! One of my brides last year wore that dress and it photographs beautifully. It was by far one of my favorite dresses from a bride I’ve photographed!

I really don’t like the Vera one…I really dislike those ruffles – they just start so abruptly. And the buttons on the side – not my taste. Also, you see those kind of dresses everywhere – the Galina is different and unique! I voted for that one.

I voted for the Vera, but in order to give more detailed advice, I need more info about yoru wedding. Time of day? Location? Theme? What are your bridesmaids wearing? (These are all of the things I’m trying to take into account when choosing my dress.)

Both dresses are nice, but the Vera Wang is a wow dress. If you really can’t decide, ask yourself, which one fits the wedding you want to have? Are going more modern with the vera or more romantic soft and traditional with the other dress?

I don’t really think you can go wrong either way. I voted for the Vera because it’s way more WOW, and I think your wedding is the one day you can get away with a dress like that. The first dress is very pretty and elegant, but I feel like you could change it to black and wear it to another event, if you know what I mean.
