    @Hyperventilate:  +1 that skirt style is very popular, and all I see is labia with that ruffle style.

    I love the bodice and the side buttons on the second, but I really hate that skirt style in every dress I have ever seen it on.

    @BisBeanBrien:  hard choice! I like the back of dress one, and the front of dress two. Maybe dress two just needs to be steamed?

    I voted for #1. I’ve seen the VW before, and I’m not crazy about it. Hell, I’m not crazy about the mermaid cut in general, but the tulle at the bottom of that one is just weird, asymmetrical, and bulky. The bodice looks amazing on your figure, but the tulle skirt just ruins it for me.

    The Galina is much more elegant and timeless.

    @Hyperventilate:  Yes!!!

    Can you wear one for the ceremony and the other for the reception?

    You have a lovely figure and wear both dresses extremely well!

    I think the Galina is gorgeous and timeless, and I really love the cut and fabric.

    The VW is very theatrical – it screams “look at me! look at me!” If thatʻs your personality and what you want to express at your wedding, then it might be a good choice. But I have a feeling you might look at your wedding photos in the future and say, “What on earth was I thinking??”

    I like both dresses, but from your description of your venue, your theme and your general style, the VW seems to be more your kind of dress – and it sounds like you have fewer reservations about it too.

    Yes, the Galina is more classic, and the VW is more trendy, but I think you could future-proof the VW more by the look you’ve got for the rest of the wedding. In other words – if you have similarly dramatic elements and colours at your venue and with your accessories and colours, I think the dress will look more like part of a united whole – if you had a traditional venue, traditional jewellery and white roses, I think the dress would stand out a lot more and look more incongruous in the years to come.

    #1 I would definitely call more classic/timeless.

    However, #2 is very distinctive and bold in my opinion. It is all about what you want for your wedding day. You have a great figure and look stunning in both 🙂

    The Vera is AMAZING! It has a definite wow factor that the Galina doesn’t. Sounds like it better suits the style of your wedding as well.

    When I saw you in the Galine I thought, wow that’s really pretty and totally my style! Then I saw you in the second dress (a style I’ve seen before and not been a big fan of) and thought, okay definitely this one. It looks more rich and luxuriant, the color is beautiful on you, and I agree with the PP who said that you can tell from the photos that the VW is made with a nicer material.

    That said, my reaction to the Galina without having seen the VW was that it was beautiful, so I truly think that you can’t go wrong if the Galina ends up being what you love more!
