Some of these stories are crazy! I don’t understand how guys don’t care about the fact that you have rings on!
Not nearly as bad as any of yours, but we were on vacation with my brother and SIL and another couple. The girls were standing around chatting at a bar while they boys were playing some golf video game. My SIL was married to my brother, and at that time, the other friends were engaged and my Darling Husband and I were engaged. Some guys came over to us and started talking to us and asking us where we were staying. It was clear that we all had rings on, but it apparently didn’t deter them. Our SOs were standing off to the side watching and cracking up at us trying to get rid of these guys. They finally all came over and asked if the guys needed something with their wives.

I had a co-worker approach me after my wedding and tell me that I was “more attractive” now that I was married and that he “has a condo in the city”. I asked him if he was high. I think he got the message. Some people are just idiots and plain ignorant.

Oh man, I’ve had people tell me, “Well, call me if it doesn’t work out.” Wtf? Who says that?! And if for some unforeseeable reason it doesn’t “work out” I will most definitely not call YOU of all people! Men are craaazy.

I got hit on WHILE with my DH! We were out at a bar with some friends and were getting ready to go. This guy came up and just started talking to me and asked for my number. I smiled, pointed at Darling Husband, and said, “well, if you really want it, you can try to get my number from him… good luck!”
Darling Husband gave him a good stare, but it was pretty funny afterwards. Dude, I’m obviously with someone, with a ring on my finger! I am clearly NOT available.

Oh my goodness, you guys, why are people so awkward!?
I’ve had a (MARRIED) guy friend (ex-guy friend) skim over my asking him if he knew I got engaged TO IMPLY THAT WE SHOULD HAVE SEX. Ewwwwwwwwwww.

I was engaged to Fiance and on the train home from nursing clinicals and when the train suddenly braked I nearly fell over except a lovely young man caught me. We were chatting on the train, turns out he worked at the hospital too, I get off a few stops before him and say goodbye and didn’t give him another thought. The next day I’m back at the hospital writing patient notes and I feel a tap on my shoulder and it’s the guy from the train! He handed me a piece of folded paper and said ‘you dropped this’ and walked off. It was a note saying he was too chicken to ask for my number the day before but he’d like to get a drink sometime and his number. I let him down easy because it was an honest mistake he hadn’t seen my ring on the train. But if I was single that would have been such a romantic ‘how we met’ story.

Hahahaha “are you going to go through with it” it’s not a promise ring…it’s an actual, real-life engagement!

Ugh! Guys can be such creeps sometimes!
I “dated” a guy for 4 months when I was 14 (lol he was my first “boyfriend”). I stayed in touch with him as we were friendly through college. After I got engaged, I hung out with him with a group a friends… he got me alone and asked if I was really into Darling Husband (then my fiance) because he had been waiting for me and the ball was in my court and I could have him if I wanted! I can say that I never saw him in person again, and he got engaged to his long-time girlfriend (who he was with when he asked me if I was into my fiance) a few months before our wedding! AND he had the nerve to ask us to hang out after our wedding for a double date! Ugh!

This isn’t about me but I thought it was funny. My SO and I were at the mall one day and this pretty girl around our age walks in the store we were in. Shes shopping near us when a young guy, also around our age, walks in and starts hitting on her. She turned around and said “my husband is at work and I dont think he would appreciate that very much!” The guy was like “Oh my bad” and walked out of the store. We had to laugh.. it was way too funny at the time.

I got asked out by a guy at work, and when I told him that I was getting married, he said, “That’s okay, I just want you for the night.” I was pretty blown away…

- Wedding: December 2019 - Paris, France
omg so since we are on the topic of freaky encounters I have 2 for you..
1.) Once when I was in highschool (15 or 16) I went to a park ab ut a mile from my house… mind you.. I live in a gated community and all the communities around my house are gated as well.. so its not like I live in a bad area or anything. Well, this one day I went to the park this guy who worked at the park was driving around in his park truck which I assume is used for picking up trash and stuff. Well he pulls up beside me while I was reading a book and asks to have lunch there… so I said okkk….i guess if you want. So he sat in his truck, pulled out an apple and…a knife. So already my fight or flight was taking over. He then asks where I live…and I pointed in some direction that was not my house.. and he starts telling me about his sexual encounters.. mind you.. this was a grown ass man! And I am talking in great detail! Like…XXX doesn’t shower after sex.. and thats why he likes indian girls (I am indian)… He made a move in his truck and I ran right out of that park and the full mile home. I have never run so fast in my life.
2.) My friend was on a bus that takes you around campus.. she was the last person on the bus and the driver heard he telling her mom that he phone was about to die. He then asks her where her stop is.. and when he gets to it.. passes it.. and proceeds to tell her that he is going to rape her.. and all the terrible things he is going to do to her right on the bus!He drove all over..off of his route… He eventually let her off…

@MrsNeutrino: I was proposed to on a bus by a 60 year old man when I was in University. No joke. He had no ring but insisted he was serious. I changed seats.
