But today I changed the date… to November 11, 2012..AND I decided to have a MUCH smaller party (hence the Sunday November date vs Saturday night June) After contacting every single one of my vendors (I already had quite a few of them booked) I immediately went to Davids Bridal to find a dress..and I did! I cannot believe I actually found a dress I love…at Davids Bridal (I didn’t like any of them online so I wasn’t too thrilled with going but I knew with no time, it was the first place I needed to go ) I literally had no budget for my wedding dress (sky was the limit- grandma gifted me the dress and she, unlike myself, is big ballin…soo yeah) But I could care less that it was only 599.00 (On sale! WOO) She is going to be shocked!
And it’ll only take 6 weeks to get it in… So I will be just fine for my 11/11/12 wedding.
Here is the back of the dress.
I am a little nervous planning a wedding in 6 months but I am so happy!!! I have photographer, flowers, photobooth, dj, makeup (still need hair), venue, ceremony, food & drinks all figured out.. All I *really* need to get on immediately are Save-The-Date Cards and invitations and centerpieces..and of course all the little details. I can’t wait to marry my best friend!

Yay! That’s great news! I hope your wedding planning goes smoothly.

LOL! I did this too! Great minds think alike! I also decided that planning a nice lavish (somewhat) Out of Town wedding just wasn’t worth the stress and the hassle. So I opted for a fall themed wedding and the date is going to be two days after thanksgiving! That way all our family and friends will already be down here for the holidays!

Your dress looks so beautiful!
I say don’t worry too much about only having 6 months to plan a wedding. I had planned to get married in May next year, but 1.5 weeks ago we suggesnly decided to do it on August 31st 2012 instead. We had absolutely nothing booked yet, so that gives me around 4 months to do everything!!
So far, we have booked/bought: venue, wedding coordinator, photographer, caterer (still to settle menus though), honeymoon, hair & make up, bridesmaid’s dress, some of the evening entertainment, some decor for the ceremony, and invitations have been designed but not yet ordered. All in just over a week.
It can be done! My mother also organised her wedding in about 4 months no problem. You have a wee bit longer, plus you have a head start because some suppliers were already arranged. I have no doubt that you can pull this off, and you will have an amazing day!
