… when dear mother and Future Mother-In-Law decided to change the location of the post-wedding brunch. Maybe. Or maybe not. They haven’t decided.
I mean, it’s great that they figured this out BEFORE I ordered them. But I think it just goes to show that the wedding gods have a sense of humor. As soon as I thought I had all the deets nailed down….
… nope. No, I didn’t.
We love our parents but this is like herding cats. Cute, lovely cats that you love dearly. But still cats.

@Beluga:🙂 At least the cats are in the right airport. Or ranch.

UGH, I hate it when that stuff happens. It just happened to me with a baby shower we are throwing, I was just calling everyone to confirm the information and the mom changed the date of it on us.

Update: so, we and the cats have collectively decided not to do a post-wedding brunch. I feel as if a tremendous weight has been lifted off my shoulders. $3000 of the budget can be allocated elsewhere. Everything just got about 10 times easier.
Lesson: Less is more. F’reals.

@Beluga: Yay for weights being lifted off 🙂 And thank you for using the phrase herding cats. I get laughed at at work for saying herding kittens all the time. Apparently no one has heard that before!

@thewheelsonthebus: It’s really one of my favorite expressions. The image that comes to mind is just hilarious. There’s no substitute, in my opinion. And it’s very useful when it comes to wedding planning, as I’m sure many of us will continue to discover.
