- Wedding: March 2011
I recently ordered some shoes on Shoebuy.com that came and didn’t fit… so I sent them back, and decided to do some brick & mortar wedding shoe shopping instead, to see what’s out there and how styles fit me.
I went to DSW, Ross Dress for Less (like TJ Maxx for those who don’t have Ross), Payless, and then Sears. Finally I hit the mall and went to Macy’s and JCP. Yes, all of this before and after my one Tuesday class.
Results for wedding shoes? Nothing, nada, zip. Well I DID decide the $25 Payless ones were not bad except they are all ivory, not white, despite the store clerk insisting they were white.. they fit ok and are cute, if I can’t find anything that WOWS me I will see if maybe online they offer white AND ivory??
Anyway, I DID get a pair of boots, brown wedges, black slingbacks, and white leather medium heel sandals with a flower accent. All adorable! Oh, and a purse on clearance for ten bucks. No shoes for the wedding!! the white ones are leather with a wood look heel. If they were satin I’d be set! I might keep them in mind as ‘back up’ anyway, they are super comfy! Fiance got some converse like hi tops and those “shape up” type shoes. As you can guess, there were big clearance sales everywhere we went so we scored big time.. ..:::sigh::: of course I didn’t really NEED all that and I still NEED wedding shoes.
I have decided I am a danger to our budget when I leave the house. I must simply do ALL my shopping online then I won’t ever be tempted by other Not Wedding Related purchases!!
Here’s what I DID get:
