After having major dress regret and doing major alterations to my original dress, I was still not 100% happy. Every time I was in it, I kept worrying (more recently now) if I would be comfortable especially dancing (its a big dress!). So I thought about a reception dress that is simple, light and comfy. Once I got the Ok from Fiance (aka mr. budget), I decided to go dress shopping (and only take one person this time, my Maid/Matron of Honor and best friend). So afew days ago, we went shopping and found a dress that fits what I was looking for in a reception dress. And I got to experience my “say yes to the dress” with my best friend (she was unable to come for the first dress experience).
While I am still a bit embarrassed that I have become a two dress bride statistic, and I do feel guilty spending so much money on “just a dress,” I am so happy that I decided to go this route. I am very happy with this decision so please no negative comments if you do not like this dress or do not agree with two dresses.
A few things:
- I am still wearing my original dress to the ceremony and changing into the second dress after dinner at the reception. That was my agreement with Fiance
- I plan on wearing a belt that was also purchased to give it some bling. What girl does not love bling…
- The photos really do not do the dress justice… in person the lace is just beautiful and in the pictures you can hardly see the alce and beading detail!
And here she is…
