@bearlove:  Oh. My. God. I’m SO GLAD that my Fiance never heard of someone doing this.

I can sympathise, I hate being the centre of attention. I agree with PPs though, he’s messing with you.

@MapleMoose:  Good point! Sounds very possible with the smile and all.

@RedRoses2013:  I know how you feel about wanting a private proposal. I am virtually embarassed by eveything in public, so my SO knows private is a must. I want to be able to enjoy myself and like you said not have an anxiety attack. I also just want it be me and him just because. I picture it as very intimate and comfortable and somewhere that I won’t care when I start to cry. We both have small circles so this suits us well. I really hope he respects your wishes! Good luck!

I’m agreeing with other ladies. I doubt that he’d propose in that public of a setting, knowing how shy you are and that it would freak you out.

Apparently guys get really silly in the time before they propose. I think he’s trying to throw you off. Try not to worry and just enjoy the game. The more you think about it, the more you’ll be upset and the game won’t be fun.

Good luck and keep us posted!

I’m totally with you on the No public/jumbotron proposals, and for a moment like that, I’m sure he knows you well and would not do it then.  He probably was just teasing you!  🙂

This makes me laugh a little. I told DH that if he decided to propose on a jumbo tron I would say no and slap him. Not because I didn’t want to marry him, but because I didn’t want 20,000 strangers to be watching! I hope it turns out okay.

I think he is totally messing with you to throw you off. Stop worrying and enjoy the engagement!

idk I kinda feel the same way and am a private person. DH proposed outside in some public gardens. I was so shocked by the proposal that I didn’t even notice the nearly 30 random people that gathered around us to clap and cheer us on. I just didn’t pay attention and it didn’t bother me because I was caught up in the moment. Maybe it will be the same for you?
