So, I can’t help but constantly check sock drawers, sneek a glance at the checkbook, check his cell phone, or look at the history on the computer. I’m always disappointed, and I said I wouldn’t do it anymore, but it’s soooo tempting. Anyone else feel just as nuts? Did you ever find anything you regreted b/c you couldn’t tell your SO about what you’d found???

Yuu are not alone LOL
I have my moments too. Specially latelly cuz my b-day is coming up and figured i would find at least a sign that he is planning somethng. but no luck either LOL
I think i’ll give up on snooping

I’m the opposite! I know SO has the ring hidden in the house somewhere and I’m afraid to do my “spring” cleaning because I don’t want to accidentally find it!

Haha I’m glad I’m not the only one!!
I check sock drawers and the tippy top of the closet because I’m short and he thinks I wont climb up on a chair to find anything ( dont judge haha) and I only check his cell phone history bc he knows not to look anything up on the computer at home lol..
About a month ago I found a lot of searches for engagement rings! I was seriously jumping around almost screaming like FINALLY !!!!! and now I check the history alot and all I see is motorcylce forms..
Could that mean he went to the jewler or just got lazy and stopped looking???? He told me a few months ago that he wanted to ask me over the summer..so maybe it could be happening!!
I think Ill also stop snooping because I do ( kinda ) want it to be some what of a suprise lol

I snooped at his Financial spreadsheet once or twice….he had wanted to propose in May, and I saw he had planned to pay the ring off, then didn’t because of owing a TON for taxes. I didn’t look after that, too disapointing! 🙂

@MissBoPeep: WOW! go you for not snooping.. My SO would NEVER tell me its in the house … He did that once with a birthday present and I found it lol ..so he wouldnt even hide it in the house any more!

I know he doesn’t have it, so I don’t even bother snooping. I have no idea where he’s going to hide it come time. I won’t have any idea when he buys it so hopefully ignorance is bliss and I won’t be tempted to snoop.

I snooped like CRAZY before Fiance proposed. I knew exactly when the ring arrived, when it was going to happen, where it was going to happen. It was like a cumpulsion. And I hate surprises.
But the proposal was still memorable, wonderful and special.. I still cried!

I found him looking more than once at rings on craigslist, and had mixed emotions, because hey, he’s looking at rings…but on craigslist!?!?!?!….and adult sites LOL. Now i’m trying my hardest not to snoop. It’ll only lead to dissappointment either way, I’ll be upset I’m not seeing any clues, or ruin the surprise if I actually EVER find anything!

Haha I definitely did snoop before I was engaged!!! Sadly I didn’t find anything, he hid it well… but you ladies are not alone!
@FutureMrs.browneyes: he probably did get the ring! You should stop snooping 😉 but you can’t be sure, so don’t get your hopes up just yet.
All I can tell you is, in the end, when it happens, it’ll be perfect and the wait will be worth it.

Oh my, a long time ago I posted about accidentally snooping on SO’s iPad and finding some ring websites and pics of rings from Pinterest that SO had saved. Since then, I’ve checked a few more times and haven’t found anything good. So disappointing!

I’m typically not a snooper, but…I have to keep myself in check these days. I don’t think my SO has the ring, but he’s been dropping hints left and right. He could be trying to throw me off or he could just be excited. I haven’t a clue.
I handed him some mail (in a non-descript envelope with only a return address, no business name) on Friday that had some type of credit cardish feeling thing in it. After opening it, he said oh it’s my credit card, looked at it and said just kidding. If it’s junk mail, he’ll throw it right away. However, I may have snooped in all the trash cans and couldn’t find it. Obviously something important. I thought it might be his insurance cards, but then he would have left it in the office. I couldn’t find a trace of the envelope or the card! Maybe a Jared’s credit account card…
I promised him I wouldn’t snoop for the ring if he bought it and hid it and I’ll stick to that. I won’t snoop on his computer or his phone either. So I guess I’m limited in my snooping, but I can’t help it. It’s too exciting!

I’m a snooper. I’ve been that way since I was a little kid. I always knew what my Christmas presents were. SO isn’t even close to buying a ring, but I told him when he does it can’t be anywhere we live because I know I’ll snoop and find it.
It’s a terrible habit, but so fun!

@BrandyQ: I’ve looked a little but there are a thousand places he could’ve stashed it…lol but no, nothing yet…boooo!!!!!
