Well, we didn’t have a side that they could enter from, so yes, the guys went down the aisle, but it was just to regular solo guitar music like the rest of the processional.

Around here, a lot of grooms will escort the mothers down the aisle, and the groosmen will escort the bridesmaids.   But I think a processional gets too long if they have about a dozen people each walking alone.

As far as the dance thing, you are probably just finding every time it happens, but when it doesn’t happen, no one video tapes it and posts it on YouTube.  I barely have the time to teach our bridal party a few basic dance moves for the swing dance first song of the evening.  There is no way I could do the complicated dance moves that these videos show.

I don’t really know what doors the guys went through to get up there, but I went with what was traditional for the church.  I think the groomsmen and Darling Husband were in before my mom was seated, although I didn’t really pay attention to any of those details.  The usher escorted my mom to her seat.

My groom and groomsmen walked down the aisle.  Why should they have to slink in from the side?  They walked in to music from a string quartet, just like I did.

There are plenty of wedding “things” that are “things.”  People have different tastes and use events to express themselves.

In Jewish weddings, the groom walks down the aisle with his parents, so that’s what we’ll be doing. His sister is his “best woman” so our order will be: FI’s sister, Fiance with his parents, my sister, flower girls, me with my parents.<br />

I was wondering the same thing!  When I saw that thread I was like “uh, why does the groom need music?  Isn’t he just up in the front?”  My H and his Groomsmen just appeared at the front of the church – I’m not really sure how . . . LOL
