So I was wondering.. anyone else being overly picky about their fiance’s tux?
I am not a fan of the old fashioned style tux.. to me it looks like something you should be put to rest in or reminds me of 80’s prom.. hahaha
Was wondering if I could see pics of your men in their tux! I need inspiritation because we can’t go tux shopping until hopefully next weekend (if I am able to move around, I’m having my gall bladder removed next Wed ::not looking forward to that::). I looked online at a local shop’s selections and I found one that just stood out to me the most and I just love it!
So I would love to see what everyone else wore!!!
Here is my inspiritation picture I got from the local shop’s website. They would have to order the plum vest & tie because they do not have that color in stock currently.

I wanted my guys to have a classic but not quite formal look so I put them in really nice black slim fitting suits (they are all tall and thin). I also wanted them to be able to keep them. I ended up finding exactly what I was looking for at Burrlington Coat Factory for around $120 each, and they were CK suits so they were great quality.

Not married yet, but this is the suit we chose. It’s the Vera Wang Two-Button Grey with satin trim. Looked amazing on him. Very modern, yet reminds me of something Don Draper from Mad Men would wear, which isnt a bad thing. It’s a very classic suit, and he looks so sexy in it 🙂

I was definitely picky, but in that I wanted my Darling Husband and the groomsmen (and the fathers and ring bearer as well) to have a timeless look that would never, ever go out of style. I also wanted a formal, evening wedding.
As a result, I chose the very formal, ultra-traditional, white tie and tails tuxedo. It may not currently be popular among younger couples. However, because it is the most formal, traditional look, it technically will not ever be dated.

@tksjewelry: Ooh wow! $120 and you actually GET THE SUIT! I was quoted $150-$190 to RENT a tux. I’m going to have to check out Burlington, we just got one about 30 minutes away and I’ve never been to one but I hear good things about it! I am excited to hear they sale SUITS!!! Thanks so much!

@PoeticDoveInLA: The only trick to it is that it is better to take all the groomsmen with you, that way you can make sure they all have the same suit in the sizes that you need. They do alterations there also for very reasonable, if you need it. The only difference I did was to put the groomsmen in a lighter tie, that way Darling Husband stood out (and it the way he wanted it).
Another good thing is that the suits were the groomsmen gifts from us, but again, it was what Darling Husband wanted to do for them as none of the guys had a good suit, nor could they really afford it.

We have no “groomsmen”, just my fiance & my father will have a tux 🙂
So I think it’ll be okay if they don’t match identical

I thinking of ordering a custom suit online.
I want the tux to be modern so he can wear it again after the wedding. 🙂

Our guys wore the gray Calvin Klein tuxes at Men’s Warehouse. I loved them! Not too fancy and went perfectly with our color scheme!
