It’s never a bad idea to get a passport, definitely don’t try to cancel it! Now you’re ahead of the game, passports last a really long time so when you and your husband plan a trip out of the country in a year or two, you’ll be set!

Awww that does suck. Dont feel bad…hell I didn’t know you didn’t need a passport to go on a cruise either. I thought you need one for any travel outside the country. And my hair is pitch black….lmao!!

Oh and I just found out from one of my employees that you don’t need a passport to travel between the United States and Puerto Rico….who knew…I sure didn’t.

I thought you did need one when you hit ports of call?  I mean, they do check documents before you get off for excursions.

I have not been on a cruises (been on 2) since they reinstated the passport requirement to the caribbean, but know if you fly in you sure do need one.

It is a good idea to have one and def call the authorities to find out if you need one 100 percent.  I could swear you need some type of document with you other than just birth certificate.

Ooops! Haha, I remember being surprised to find that you didn’t need a passport for cruises a few years ago when my family started going on them. Honestly though, it isn’t a bad thing for your fiance to have a passport! I think they are good for what…10 years? You can just use it as an excuse to go on a trip out of the country at some point in the next few years…right? 😉

I don’t think there’s a way you can cancel it. It’s basically another form of government ID card. Sucks that you spent the money and ended up not needed it though! But yay for no longer having to stress about it!
