I would recommend first trying ones that fit your pump so you have less mess to clean.  Not essential, but it helps.

Best bottles is the one your baby takes!!

My son took any bottle. If it had milk coming out of it, he liked it. Little piggie! We eventually landed on the comotomo bottles as they are supposed to be most breast like. But we stuck with the lowest flow nipple to try to prevent bottle preference (which never became an issue)

My son did the best with the playtex ventaire, though he’ll drink from anything we offer him. It’s just the others we tried (Dr. Browns, Avent Naturals, Comotomo, Kiinde) had some sort of issue, like it made him spit up, he seemed to have trouble sucking, etc.. Get a few different kinds and see which work best for you. We waited until he was a few weeks old (3 ish) to introduce a bottle, to ensure breastfeeding was established. He had no issue going between boob and bottle.

We breastfed 90% of the time and had a hard time finding a bottle that our daughter would take for when I wanted to leave her with pumped milk for a bottle. MAM has a flatter nipple and has been a winner for us.

I started with Dr Browns which work great for my gassy, spitty LO.  The parts are soooo annoying to wash so I recently tried to switch to Avent Natural.  My DS was spitting up like crazy and seemed fussier than usual so we went back to Dr Browns.

The Munchkin ones also seem popular lately among my mommy friends.  it’s helpful if the bottle fits your pump.  Dr Browns fits the Medela pump that most people have.

I exclusively breastfed until my daughter was about 5 weeks old then pumped enough for her night feed so I could sleep and my husband could feed her. We used dr brown bottles from day 1 only because that seemed to be the overwhelming winner amongst friends who breastfed then introduced a bottle. She took to it with no issues and stayed on them until we transitioned her to a soppy cup. Good luck!

Definitely get a few kinds and see which you and your kiddo like best. I wound up using Avent Naturals for my son (with size 0 nipples at first, since he was a tiny little guy and even the 1s flowed too fast for him). Depending on what kind of pump you get, you may be able to get adapters so you can attach a different brand of bottle to the pump. Look on Amazon – that was where I found adapters that let me use Avent bottles with my Medela pump.

Currently pregnant, so no experience yet but my friends swear by playtex ventaire bottles. I was told to stay AWAY from Dr. Brown – as cleaning all the parts and loosing them will drive you nuts. Also was told to get medela storage bottles (super cheap) and nipples that come with them (have to buy those separate) that fit medela pumps so can pump right into bottles and store/ feed all from the same bottle.

We use Dr. Browns and Comotomo, some people complain about all the Dr. Browns parts but its never bothered me. We tried Avent at first but I think the flow was too fast since he was breastfed and he didn’t like them. The nipples for the medela bottles are basically garbage, they collapse all the time.

We used Avent naturals. I breastfed mostly and dad did one night feed. We stayed on preemie nipples until 8-9 months.

We used Dr. Brown’s at first as well – our son was doing a combo of formula and breast milk for the first 3 months. I think I switched his bottles at the 1 year mark because like others have mentioned, they are a B to wash. We switched to Tommy Tippee and he loves them.
