Our wedding is over a year away and I am possibly the worst decision maker of all time. On a day to day basis I have difficulty even deciding where to go eat. With so much time until the wedding, I am finding it nearly impossible to make concrete decisions on wedding planning. I bought the dress..but there is a colored sash. Even though I have bought the sash, I find myself already wanting to change the color of it. The wedding colors….they have gone from lime green and hot pink…to…orange and green….to….now various shades of pink and green. I have booked a venue but have so many ideas about what to do with it that I might go crazy! Does anyone else have this issue. There are just so many ideas and it is difficult to decide what exactly to do!

Hey you are in the right place! The hive will help you through from start to finish.
I think everyone is different but eveyone changes their minds about one thing or another at some point. Better to change it at the beginining than the end!
Do you have a wedding checklist? Following a general guideline that I modified to follow our wedding helped immensely when I wanted to buy bridesmaids dresses without buying my dress. Looking at how much time I had helped me pace.
Colors were the hardest decision for me – for others it’s a breeze 🙂 Do you have your venue chosen? If you are not sure about your colors, let them come to you. You don’t need to make a decision until your are buying decor or bridesmaid dresses. I booked the venue, cake designer, caterer, designed our save the dates, photographer, hair and make up and a bunch of other decisions (blocking hotels etc) before I chose my colors.
There are planners that you can buy in a store but I found the knot checklist to be a good guideline and then I just created an excel spreadsheet to make it fit us. I divided it by months as they do but created lists for me, my fiance and me+ my fiance. I have three hard copies – mine is on a clipbord above my desk.
Enjoy your engagement – don’t rush too much if you don’t have to. It’s an incredible time.
Hope this helps!

Thanks so much! It really helps! I have been looking at the knot’s checklist and it does help…but I think i’ll take after you and alter it to us. I am loving this website….it’s really helpful! Thanks again, for the advice.
