Im sure its common to feel this way. with 8 months to go, i feel i should have so much more done. Last year we purchased our reeception hall as well as the church. we did our engagment photos and sent out majority of our save the dates. Before the month is up i plan on booking our photographer and video. I had my first meeting with my girls and i picked their dresses. I feel accomplished yet i feel like i need to be doing much more!

I have about 8 months myself. I am the queen of list. Without my lists I’m nothing. The great thing for us is that we have a venue that does everything. So I only have to worry about flowers and cake. You’re ahead of me. I haven’t even sent out save the dates yet. I think the key is too relax, organization, and delegation.

I think its pretty normal. I’ve been feeling super overwhelmed the past couple months. On Sunday I realized I was at the 3 month mark and better get in gear. I didn’t have a dj, cake, no suits for the guys or dresses for my girls.
What has completely saved me was a wedding time line I found on Pinterest, it has been helping me to stay on track with planning and not forget anything, but also not feel like I have to do everything right this second.

Baby steps, girl! Baby steps!
If you’ve got a planning timeline, great. If not, get one. It will advise you on what to do each month. DON’T WORK AHEAD. Take your time and don’t think about how you have 100 jobs left on the list. If you have five things to accomplish in February, do those five things. And then relax.
