@MrsToB:  I know what you mean this won’t be easy. I think your moms suggestion is a fair game plan so I really hope your ring can be fixed the right way at this new place you will take it to so this nightmare will be over I’ve and for all.

He may be a family jeweller to your mum…..but at the end of the day…you paid for a service that wasn’t delivered.

You paid $1200 for a size 4.5 ring setting and for your stone to be set in it. you instead were given  the wrong size and the stone was set poorly.

you are well within your rights to demand a refund or a new setting. you should take it to a consumer protection site for advise.

I have a double prong set band on my ring and when I went to the jeweller to get it sized…he told me it had 20% chance of the side stones on the band becoming loose.

I asked him if it was worth taking the risk or getting a new sized ring. He said take the chance i’m good at  what I do.   he also said I just warn people to be secure.

He wa right. he was good at what he does and  he did it properly.

you deserve the same…..find out your rights.

You are not crazy!! I suggest starting with a fresh set from somone else.

I have been having a horrific time with my ring (it’s from Kay). I thought I was going crazy because they kept blaming and I thought maybe I was being a zilla. I soon realized they were doing really shotty work. I’m working on returning and buying a new set. It’s very disappointing since it is the ring he proposed with and we married with but I can’t have a ring that I’m afraid is going to fall apart!
