…because I have red hair and I always wear green. Really?
I mean, I understand what she meant. But it doesn’t help the situation knowing that she’s a skinny minnie who thinks she’s fat and I’m over here all… fat. Just another day at the office I guess!
Anyway bees, how is your work day going? Any holiday parties happening or are you working your butt off to finish deadlines?

Wow, that sure came off wrong. I can sort of understand the red hair and wearing green but I would NEVER call someone Fiona from Shrek. Oh wait, Fiona is a beauty in the daylight so I’m sure thats what she meant. My really obnoxious cousin told my friend she looked like a poodle because of her curly hair and didn’t think a thing of it. Obviously my friends feelings were hurt but my cousin’s intent was not malicious.

Maybe she meant in princess form 😀
Or she has no filter. <.<
Be like “that’s ironic, becuase you look like Shrek from shrek….”

@Blush.Champagne: A poodle?! Oh my goodness! That is a horrible thing to say. I totally understood what my boss was saying but coming from my boss, it probably was an insult. I’m used to it by now though but my jaw still dropped a little — just not something you expect to hear lol
Oh well, at least it’s Friday and I have the next four days off 🙂

@iheartmarshall: LOL oh no. Maybe she meant the princess version? Haha.
We’re being let out early today and my boss is taking me out for lunch so *fingers crossed* the day seems to be going well so far!

My day is going great because I am not at work. My last day was the 14th and I don’t go back until Jan. 14th!

@trueblue14: Where do you work and are they hiring! We get let out at 3pm on Christmas Eve….if we’re up to date.

I think I’m weird, but I think Fiona from Shrek in ogre form is beautiful too… but I think your boss was probably being a big ole dummy for saying something like that, because, well, ogre!

@iheartmarshall: Maybe she meant the non-ogre version, it which case you’re a total babe. 😉
That’s how I’d take it, whether she meant it that way or not.

Maybe she meant Princess Fiona. She also always wore green.
Maybe she was trying to be nice and it came out awkwardly.

@LittleCricket: I think you’re right… but still, it was just one of those things that makes you wonder haha. I just had to share it!

I have been known to try to say something nice or complimentary and have it fail miserably and blow up in my face in spectacular fashion… so yeah, I’m a ‘benefit of a doubt’ person with these things… unless she typically makes snotty comments.
It is one of those “work funny” things… which if it happened outside of work would lose all ironic humor most likely. My days typically consist of those things. 😀
