Well TMingus 3 weeks until we find out if our little bundle of joy will be a boy or a girl!!!!
i just pray for a healthy baby & my BFF just found out she will be having a girl. I did want a girl at first, thinking of all the big bows and cute clothes, but I don’t want to be disappointed if we have a boy….I could definitely dress him super cute regardless!!!
the Chinese birth chart said girl & my friends at work did the needle & thread test & it said girl 5 times
eeeek!!! I’m geeing so excited, I know finding out the sex will make it even more real((:
how did you bees feel upon discovering the sex of your baby?

@GypsyLove: How exciting you get to find out in 3 weeks! We found out last week we’re having a boy. I really wanted a girl, so I wasn’t as excited as I would have liked (I felt like such a bad momma), but a baby is a baby regardless of the gender. Plus, seeing how excited my hubby was about having a boy, made it all worth it. You’ll be (or get) excited either way!

@GypsyLove: I’ve been enjoying finding out the genders of my fellow April Mamas because MrDane & I are team green… I like to live vicariously through everyone else! Good luck at your scan & keep us posted!

@GypsyLove: Good luck!! I dont mind either way and wont find out in advance myself… I know that my Darling Husband wants a son at some point so if this one is a boy I am off the hook, but I want more kids than him so if it is a girl we can keep on trying. Its a win win!

Goodluck with your scan!
We found out we were having a boy a few weeks ago. I have to say, I was pretty disappointed. We were both set on having a girl, and with my extreme sickness and every other wivestale leading to girl we just assumed. After talking with some friends I found that it was normal to feel this way, but you quickly get over it. It took about 2 days for me to start really coming to terms with it but now I’m super excited to be having a little boy.
Darling Husband was also in shock over it being a boy. Neither of us like sports at all, so Darling Husband is worried that our son is going to want to play sports. He has no depth perception from an eye issue he was born with, so he’s worried about playing catch and other things.

I am in the same boat as @snoie:. Both Darling Husband and I were really hoping for girl, all the charts and “tests” said girl, everyone had guessed girl… and we’re having a boy. Darling Husband cried in the room when they told us he was so upset. And, like snoie, neither one of us is into sports, AT ALL. Lol.
It’s been over a month now, and I’m still coming to terms honestly. We’ve been buying boy stuff, setting up the nursery, etc and it’s fun….it is. But I still see those girl things and feel a pang of sadness.
There. I admitted it. 🙂
Either way, I’m happy he’s healthy and can’t wait to see his little face!

I kinda wanted a girl but just had a feeling it was a boy so I didn’t even want to look at the girl stuff. Darling Husband wanted a boy, but was fine with a girl. Like I said I just knew it was a boy, in which it is and I’m totally okay with that. I know we are going to have more kids so it didn’t matter. Plus we couldn’t agree on a girls name. Good luck & let us know.

@Sea_bass: Great attitude! I feel the same way and will probably do the same when our time comes. I originally wanted to find out the gender then have a fun gender reveal but I’ve been gradually warming up to the idea of having the gender be a surprise at delivery and enjoying the suspense until then. 🙂

You ladies are so awesome, glad I wasn’t alone with my feelings ((:
i felt a little guilty for wanting a girl, although I would be thrilled for a boy too. I will definitely keep everyone updated when I find out

I think my biggest fear about gender is having a baby with um… both parts? lol I know it’s rare but that’s honestly worst-case scenario in my book. I’m a freak for worrying about this, I know. 😛
This thread gave me hope as well as comfort in knowing others were upset when the gender was not the one they’d like. I’m realllly set on a girl and I know my heart will be sad if it’s a boy. I have NO idea how to raise a boy. D:
@MrsFairyBee: LOVING the picture. i love pixies too. And barbies. Still. No wonder I want a girl!

@SimplyChic11: oh my gosh I was just telling my BFF I hope wishing for a certain gender didn’t result in that also!! Comforting to know in not that crazy lol
