What exactly do you need help with? If money is no issue- go for it. Get whatever makes you happy without thinking of the price. If your Maid/Matron of Honor is talking about you, then maybe you need to review why she is is your Maid/Matron of Honor. My Maid/Matron of Honor would NEVER speak ill of me, regardless of how bridezilla I act (but she absolutely adores me and she is even more honored that I chose her to be the Head Maid in Charge HMIC).

So you just have to figure out what YOU want for your day and what is very important to you. 50K is a health wedding budget, I am sure you could get everything you want plus more, with some to spare.

@armychica06: I’m kind of confused too.

1)You want a certain shoe? Or you want a certain dress?

2) If money is no option, just get whatever you want. Are you saying that your budget is 50K or 325K?

3) What is your Maid/Matron of Honor gossiping about?

what i got from this is that her wedding dress budget was 50K and the whole wedding budget is 325K?

i am not sure about wearing flats than switching to heels because what length would you get your dress altered to?   what about a one inch heel?

as for your Maid/Matron of Honor, my advice would be to stop telling her what you are spending your money on. its nobody’s business but your own!

@jerseyprincess: Why don’t you show us the dress and shoe that you’re interested in and maybe we can come up with something similar.

You want a flat shoe for the ceremony and a 6inch heel for the reception? What are your colors and what is the budget for the shoes?

@jerseyprincess: Oh! I understand what you’re saying now 🙂 I don’t have any advice for the shoes, because mine were $25. But as far as the Maid/Matron of Honor goes… that’s really sad. I think she is probably jealous that you have a lot of money to work with. Is she married, or has she had a wedding before? Maybe she doesn’t understand how expensive it can get. I would have a serious talk with her to let her know that as Maid/Matron of Honor, she should be encouraging, and not talking behind your back.

maybe he just needs some space – you can also pay for her dress or other items so that she doesn’t feel like your wedding is expensive for her-

 good luck
