It’s break time, and the ladies in a specific clique around me are all eating in the main break room.
Some “popular” employees held an invite only potluck and were going out of their way to say how “yummy” everything was.
The half of us that we’re not aware were annoyed and hurt. We often to thinga like potluck and parties, but we never exclude anyone.

That’s awful, you guys should have a Christmas cookie exchange and not invite if them. Boo mean ppl!
i realize doing the same thing is wrong hurt sometimes it just feels good to treat people the way they treat you.

What kind of environment do you work in? I’ve never thought about there being a “popular” group at work!

We’re having a Pot Luck Competition tomorrow! Each team is bringing in their own “recipe” and we’ll all be judging and eating to our hearts’ contents. It is terrible rude to exclude people and draw attention to that fact. Our “higher ups” will do private pot lucks occassionally, but when they do they usually try and hide it.

That’s usually a pretty big no-no. Our company is always preaching about respect and inclusiveness.

Wow, some people never really leave high school, don’t they?
F their “yummy” food! Lol

Cows, you hire a caterer for your friends and have a creme brûlée induced orgasm in front of them…..I abhor women like that.

I hope they all got food poisoning and spent the night trying to decide which end gets the toilet. Is that wrong of me? 😉

@MissTatas: Where I work, imbibing in any potluck is a surefire way to end up with food sickness. I would not want to eat the cliques food anyway, its kind of funny that they think other people woiuld be jealous.

Eurgh. People are thoughtless! And so childish too.

That’s so mean! We have pot lucks at work and have a rule that if you don’t bring something you don’t eat, but we’ve never excluded people! That’s so crappy of them.

I would bring cupcakes on Monday for everyone who wasn’t invited to the popular potlock.

@MissFireFlower: That’s seriously rude. I say you “unpopular” employees have a happy hour. Beer is more fun than some frozen meatballs, anyways.

That’s not very nice of them 🙁
Do you have a company policy against purposely excluding people?
