I agree with you….have you tried a plain band with a milgrain accent

Is there absolutely no space under your basket for a sraight band, or do you prefer the curved ones? I know moissco sells a super low profile eternity style band (although it might be too sparkly for your taste as well).

Your ering is very pretty btw.

ETA: I personally like gaps, but not with curved bands like pic #1.

I really love the 2nd set. I dont think it overpowers the e ring! They look really good.

Question:  when’s the last time you took your ering in to be professinally cleaned?  I’d take it in to the jeweler, have them clean/polish it, THEN try on some bands… the fact that you’re trying on a brand spaking new band next to the ering you’ve been wearing on a daily basis may be contribution to the difference.

When I picked my wedding band, I made sure to get one with diamonds that are the exact same color AND clarity as the diamonds in my wedding band so they will look cohesive and one won’t overpower the other. All of my diamonds are G/SI1 and the only difference I can see is that my w-band is more shiny since it is newly rhodium plated and I haven’t worn it yet, whereas my e-ring is just slightly more “worn-in.”

Perhaps this is the same reason you are noticing a difference? New jewelry right out of the case will tend to look more shiny and sparkly since it is essentially untouched and unworn. Have your ring professionally cleaned and look for rings with the same color/clarity diamonds.

I love the second set as well! You could always get just a plain band too if it really concerns you

Personally the set in the secound picture to me looks absolutly perfect, maybe its more noticable in person that its over powering but in the photo it looks like it compliments eachother perfectly. I love it! Dont get upset, they is supposed to be a happy experience 🙂 I know you will find one you love, dont rush it, you have time. Good luck hun!
