go with him! if you’re not sure what you like, the best way to find out is t actually go to the jeweler and try different things on!

I knew what i wanted from my online research but I went with my bf anyway and tried on a ton of styles and chose exactly what I wanted all along so you may do the same or you may end up liking something completely different.

I really suggest trying on whatever setting you think you’d like in person, if possible, even if you see RL pictures of the setting on thIs site.

I was obsessed with the Tacori 2620 for months, searched for the setting on the Bee and absolutely loved it. I dropped by a Tacori dealer to try it on before letting my partner know it was ‘the one’…and? I really disliked it in person. 🙁

I’m sorry the setting you wanted didn’t look good in the pictures you saw. Can you try it on it real life? And if you do find real life pictures of a setting you love, I highly recommend trying it on before sending the info off to your SO!

I second trying rings on in person. I thought that three stone rings were beautiful but every single one I tried on just did not look good on my finger!

I third trying rings on & it’s fine even if you go by yourself or w/a gf instead of your bf)

a gf of mine walked me into tiffany’s, said I was getting engaged, & dragged me around to try on a couple different carat sizes in every single shape and the major setting options.  it was really helpful & then I passed it on to help out another gf who was getting engaged & tried more on againmyself elsewhere once I had a better idea of what I liked to narrow down setting even more.

That happened to me too! I picked a MoissyCo ring and someone posted a “real” picture of it and I HATE it!

@misskittenn:  yes, definitely go try stuff on in real life. Diamonds also look bigger in pics, I find. I wanted a plain round brilliant solitaire until I tried one on in real life. Even a 2 carat $50,000 one at Tiffany’s didn’t do it for me. I was quite surprised. You never know what you’ll fall in love with in real life.
