@spoiledvamp27: I’m in the same boat and i’m 9 months out with nothing done, mainly because my Fiance has a diffrent opinion on the urgency/ need to do things, and he keeps flip flopping on venues and day of the week….I don’t even want as big wedding so i’m really stressed out! My only other fear to having a big wedding with 100’s of people gawking at me is having a train wreck of a wedding because Fiance keeps telling me i’m rushing…hes a procrastinator….i’m a planner….ugh

Lol this won’t be much help but 10 months is a long way out – you’ll have plenty of time to stress yourself and everyone else out 6 months from now, so try to relax while you still can!  My only suggestion is to make a detailed checklist with dates and try not to get ahead of yourself, however tempting it may be.  Get your venue, your photographer, and your music booked, and you’ll be in great shape.

Are you surrounded by other brides making you feel pressured? This was the case for me – I was the first to get engaged, but the last to start planning. Everyone around me had their entire wedding booked and planned in the first month. I felt crazy! It was soooo hard not to get sucked into the frenzy.

I read your update and it sounds like you have a TON booked already. You seriously will be ok, but I understand feeling stressed. You now have several months to work on decorations! You are right – it WILL be beautiful!

Yeah this may or may not help, but you have done PLENTY for being 10 months out.  You got the big things done and that’s what matters.  Most smaller things can’t even be done until you get closer to the wedding day anyway.  You need to relax now, because trust me, I’m really starting to feel the pressure at 4 months, and it will only get worse.  Enjoy the time to relax while you have it.

Take a deep breath bees!  I promise that you’ll get it all done!  You do have to get some stuff done now, but you don’t have to get EVERYTHING done now.  Try to think of what things book well in advance (venues) or that you feel strongly about (like using a particular photographer) so that no one else books them first.  Most of the other vendors are more flexible on timing.  I’d also give yourself plenty of time on the gown because many deisgners need 5-6months.  Of course you can get one sooner if need be, but you won’t be able to get whatever you want…it’s also not something you want to feel rushed about.  It is very overwhelming and stressful, but I planned my wedding in about 7 months and everything worked out just fine.  You’re ahead of the game now so you’re going to get it all done with plenty of time to spare 🙂
