My lease on my townhome is up on the 31st of this month. I cannot express with words just how ready I am to move out of this place!
We are not ready to buy a house yet for several reasons, so we are stuck with renting! Yet, when we found out they we’re pregnant, we KNEW we wanted a stand alone house!
So in mid November we applied for a house, paid the $80 application fee, and were approved! Well come to find out they wanted a whole months rent for the pet fee up front (which would have been over $900) PLUS they refused to hold it for a week so we could move in and would have added on other fees for the utilities not being transferred over. Needless to say, we backed out and told them to keep the place.
So on and on my search for renting a nice home in a decent area went. We found one place we fell in love with. Paid $120 dollars for the application fee and were denied over “rental history”! Darling Husband is 26 and I’m 22. He’s had apartments since he was 18 as well as myself. So, that was a bust.
Every other house after that was swept up before we could even take a tour.
FINALLY, we find a house we love. Apply, pay the 100 dollar application fee and we’re approved! We are ready to move right this second and can pay all deposits and fees. The realtor who showed it to us said “move-in ready”. Yet, today they tell us we can’t move in until the 14th of January!
Why?! Why I ask them!!
Because apparently the owner of the house is using their company to rent their home for them (understandable) and we have to be approved by them first and THEY have to fill out paperwork.
I’m so frustrated.
So now, I’ll have to move into a storage unit, crash with my mom in her tiny apartment (with my dog who HATES her two dogs) until we can move.
Which means my preggo self is going to have to help move twice, or shell out more money for movers twice.
I could just cry. I’ve already called our townhouse and they can’t extend our lease.
So, this was more of a rant. But wwwaahh booo harumph bahhumbug! 🙁
